Who Are the Joneses

Nicole and Chris met on the public train station platform in high school. As best friends for over 10 years they started to date in 2012 and married in 2013. Their passion for traveling grew as they honeymooned in Maldives and Dubai. Both are born and raised Canadians from Calgary, it made perfect sense for this city to be their home base to raise some kidlets.

With their two kidlets, Jada and Cruz, Nicole and Chris plan to travel and document these special moments with their young family for future reference and to share their experience with others.

Chris' passion for traveling started at a young age with just his mom and brother living in Canada as their family was in Germany and dad deported back to England. Hearing traveling stories of his parents backpacking the world as hippies for years brought on Chris's desire to travel. Leaving the rat race behind in Canada, he is excited to pursue his dream of traveling with his family.

Nicole's desire to not settle for being stuck in the house during her maternity leave, set the fire under Chris' butt to take the plunge to travel. Nicole likes to do things differently, traveling with two kids and the excitement around the challenge is why they are pursuing this adventure.

Jada Was born to travel. Although her parents are from Calgary they technically created Jada in Denver through IVF in 2015. Their "ice cube baby" Jada was born March 14, 2016. Jada has now been on over 30 flights, some of the most memorable locations are to New York and Maui. She is excited to continue her travels with her little brother in tow.

Cruz, like Jada, shared the same location of being created in Denver. Born June 6, 2018, as an unplanned home birth. Cruz wants to be just like his sister with her traveling by starting in Europe at 3 months old.
